The Land of Harmony: American Choral Gems from the Bay Psalm Book to Amy Beach

Meet us in “The Land of Harmony,” Quire Cleveland’s new program of American music. It includes early versions of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “When Jesus Wept,” “Amazing Grace” — as well as lesser known, but equally inspiring, works. Choose from two accessible venues, whose architecture and superb acoustics enhance everything you’ll hear.

Also featured is music by Amy (Mrs. H. H. A.) Beach, known in her day as “the American Brahms,” and Cleveland’s own Patty Stair. Plus works by William Billings, Stephen Foster, Edward MacDowell, R. Nathaniel Dett, and others.

Everyone is welcome. Under age 18 admitted FREE.
