The Song of Songs: Choral Settings from Medieval to Modern
David Fallis, guest conductor

Quire Cleveland and esteemed guest conductor David Fallis present a special concert featuring the beautiful, evocative verses of the Bible’s Song of Songs. You’ll hear music by such masters as John Dunstable, Giovanni da Palestrina, Tomás Luis de Victoria, Heinrich Schütz, Edward Bairstow, and Healey Willan. As part of the Helen D. Schubert Concert Series, Quire Cleveland returns to the glorious acoustics of the Cathedral of St. John in downtown Cleveland. The following night, Quire makes its Akron début with a concert at St. Bernard Catholic Church, sponsored by the Summit Choral Society

Leading the program is the renowned conductor David Fallis, director of the Toronto Consort, resident music director of Opera Atelier, and a celebrated conductor of opera throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. Mæstro Fallis has been heard by millions as Music Producer of two wildly popular dramatic series: The Borgias and The Tudors on Showtime TV.
