Sing You After Me:
Wondrous Rounds & Canons

Sing you after me is a program of rounds and canons from the 13th to the end of the 19th centuries. Full of fun, interesting, and appealing music, it offers an enormous range of musical styles and textures.

And the composers of rounds and canons may surprise you: Byrd, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven & Brahms are among the master composers who contributed to the repertoire! Enjoy the captivating sounds of one voice following another in ingenious — but also sublimely beautiful — harmony.

A return engagement on the Helen D. Schubert Concert Series at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist — where Quire has earned popular & critical acclaim from our début concert. Our performance there last spring was deemed “spectacular” — you won’t want to miss this one! Or join our first venture to Painesville, on the United Methodist Church’s series.

Get in the mood for these concerts with a visit to Quire’s YouTube channel, for “When Jesus wep’t the falling tear” by William Billings and “Nesciens mater” by Jean Mouton, among more than 175 videos.
