Daniel Fridley

Daniel Fridley, bass-baritone, is a doctoral student in Historical Performance Practice at Case Western Reserve University. This past summer, he was chosen for the Young Artist Program at the Boston Early Music Festival, understudying the role of Rodolphe in Campra’s Le Carnaval de Venise, and singing in the chorus. He recently finished his master’s degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied with Dean Southern. Under his tutelage, Daniel performed leading roles in all three of Mozart’s Da Ponte operas. With Apollo’s Fire at the Metropolitan Museum of Art last December, Daniel made his New York début as bass soloist in Handel’s Messiah.
